These last couple days at school have been great! The teachers allowed me to work with all of the students to do a collaborative Kandinsky inspired painting involving all of the students in the school--from 3-year-old students to high school. Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian painter known for his modern abstract works. I am working with Flora, the Inupiaq teacher who is very artistic. The students are working on completing a 5' x 5' painting. So far, the 1st- 4th grade students cut shapes for the painting, the 5th-6th grade students arranged the shapes on the canvas, 7th-8th grade students added lines, and high school students painted. Tomorrow 5th-8th graders will be adding stamps onto the canvas and high school students will be adding black lines. The students seem to be really enjoying the project!
Looks good. Like to hear more about the project.
